Dearest citizen of the falling world, After the excessive playtime on FM-radio in most of Europe—with the obvious exception of the Netherlands, since nothing I do ever hits the Dutch limelight—Russia, the U.S. of A, and Canada, word has reached me that no other than Nike—“Just Do It!”—has picked up my little song ‘February 12’. Words cannot express my gratitude! Mostly since last year’s pandemic issues made sure I couldn’t promote the song—and the rest of the latest album called ‘Mineo’ for that matter—in a life setting. Under the moniker “#sinnersongwriter10”—commemorating the tenth anniversary of his solo-career—a 4K restoration project was ignited with the release of the video “When Doves Cry”. Living with the constant fear of repeating himself, #JK—as a solo self-proclaimed sinner-songwriter—the last ten years, has traveled through a variety of music-styles. Combining rock with jazz, funk, punk, electro, dance, and more avant-garde-ish styles, he became one of the pioneering artists, who openly rejected the tendence, ethics and popularity in the current music industry; paving a unique path for himself to follow. Sonically, #JK never shied away from experiments—creating new instruments from the scratch and eschewing easy-going digital techniques available—but still maintained a somewhat accessible sound.
