The apotheosis of that sonic journey is the CD BOX’d–The Album; a collection of songs from the entire solo back catalogue, sometimes brought in a different mix, edit or master than the songs appearing on the original albums have had to offer.
It may also be a stepping stone into the world of #JK. Getting to know him, his body of work, and the many research-projects he endured, which ultimately led to his nine concept albums, that have been released somewhere between 2010 and 2024.
This introductory CD also functions as a vehicle to move further away from the world of streaming music, e.g. Spotify, Apple, and the likes. It is a reclamation of independence from the industry, tragically enough launched on the 10th anniversary of the dying day of the one who started that movement in the first place: Prince.
Getting reacquainted with Prince’s work and ethics through a friend (and that must have been great nights) #JK will use the year 2026 to further embrace the artistry and not the “likes”, “shares”, and “streams”.
