The BOX’d project is mainly focussed on #JK’s solo SINNER-SONGWRITER efforts combined with his >>>recent 50th birthday. An attempt to make the world a better place through music and thought.
The apotheosis of that sonic journey is the CD BOX’d–The Album; a collection of songs from the entire solo back catalogue: sometimes brought in a different mix, edit or master, which the songs as appearing on the original albums, had had to offer.It may also be a stepping stone into the world of #JK. Getting to know him (just a little bit): his body of work, and the many research-projects he has endured, which ultimately led to his nine original concept albums, that have been released somewhere between 2010 and 2024.
This introductory CD also functions as a vehicle to move further away from the world of streaming music, e.g. Spotify, Apple, and the likes. It is a reclamation of independence from the industry, tragically enough launched on the 10th anniversary of the dying day of the one who initiated-in-full, that ongoing movement in the first place: a little guy called Prince.
Getting reacquainted with Prince’s work and ethics through a friend (and that must have been great nights) #JK will use the year 2026 to further embrace the artistry and not the “likes”, “shares”, and “streams”.
BOX’d–The Album is a unique starting point; leading the world, music fanatics, vinyl enthusiastics, art hippies, punks, misfits, nostalgia aficionado’s, I-Play-CD’s-In-My-Car-At-Great-Volume-kind-of-people alike to a joint effort, where we can still appreciate music (and its artistry) and the thoughts of the artists through playback, discussion, repetition, ownership (when you buy the cd’s or vinyl or the original digital music from BandCamp), and recognition.
